FAELSAFE SECURES SUBCONTRACT FOR NEW STUDENT ACCOMMODATION TOWER IN MANCHESTER CITY CENTER

Faelsafe Ltd continues onwards and upwards with the installation subcontract awarded by Chubb Fire of the fire detection system, disabled refuge system and smoke extract system to Castle House Student Accommodation in Manchester.

The £45m scheme is being developed and operated by Student Castle. Student Castle is a new business focusing exclusively on the provision of student accommodation.

The 520-bed development will be the second tallest building in Manchester after the Beetham Tower. It will accommodate undergraduate students, postgraduates and international students and include a mix of self-contained studio apartments and cluster-style communal accommodation. 

The skyscraper is adjacent to Oxford Road railway station and overlooks Oxford Road.

The development is due for completion in 2012.
